Bumsoo Park, Ph.D.

Post-doctoral Researcher | Mechanical Engineering Research Institute | KAIST

Bumsoo Park is currently a Post-doctoral researcher at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Bumsoo received his Ph.D. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2023, and his BS and MS degrees from the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

Bumsoo's research focuses on AI-based control, decision making, and diagnosis for complex mechanical systems. Through integration of domain knowledge and advanced machine learning algorithms, Bumsoo aims to develop adaptive and autonomous solutions capable of efficiently navigating the challenges inherent in complex engineering environments. His research not only involves theoretical advancements but also practical implementations, bridging the gap between theoretical advancements and tangible applications in industries reliant on sophisticated mechanical systems.

Advanced manufacturing systems, particularly in metal 3D printing, leverage cutting-edge technologies to produce complex components with great precision and efficiency.
